Pala Practical Shooters • Reservation Shooting Club
Linea de Fuego is a USPSA affiliated section that includes two USPSA clubs - Reservation Shooting Club and Pala Practical Shooters. We run two 6-stage USPSA pistol matches a month, one on the 2nd and one on the 4th Saturday of the month, and a 5-stage 3-gun match on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Sign-in starts at 8:30AM and the range goes hot around 9:00AM. Matches are held outdoors at the North County Shootist Association Range on the Pala Indian Reservation in North San Diego County. Our matches are open to all shooters (membership is not required) and we welcome new shooters. If you would like more information about the club email info@lineadefuego.info.
The December San Diego Steel Match was a big hit, with close to 150 competitors shooting the match. Many thanks to our match director and stage setters for putting on a great match. Scores from the match are available here. There are also some pictures from the match in a gallery here. The next San Diego Steel Match will be held on March 31st, so mark your calendars!
We work real hard to try and keep match fees reasonable, but starting on January 1st, 2012 we are going to have to raise match and membership fees to cover increased range fees. Match fees will rise $2 to $32 for non-LdF members and $22 for LdF members. The annual membership fee will go from $100 to $115 (members receive a $10 discount on match fees).
The San Diego Steel Match consists of six (or more) USPSA style stages of nothing but steel targets - pepper poppers, plates, pie racks, Texas stars, swingers - you name it, we shoot it. Learn more here. This year's match schedule is as follows:
Annual LdF membership forms are now available online. Members receive dicounted match fees, are eligible to participate in the annual Trophy Chase and compete for USPSA Nationals slots, and have a voice in running the club. Memberships now run a full 12 months from the date you renew (includes the NCSA membership), so there's no reason not to become a member today.
